"I'm sorry, Tifa. The snow is really coming down, and the roads are in pretty bad condition. I just don't think I'll be making it back tonight." Cloud paused to listen. "Yeah, I promise to be careful. Tell the kids I'll be bringing them back something from Icicle, would you? Okay, 'night, Tifa."
Cloud closed the phone with a soft sigh before snuggling back into the comfort of thick quilts and next to the warmth of bare skin.
"You have to tell her sometime, you know," Reno said, stroking Cloud's naked back.
Cloud winced, hearing Reno's reproach.
"Soon," he promised.
