"I think they know," mewed Cait, over their private comm line. "They know it's you. I'm sorry boss, I'm really sorry."
Reeve tried to put a smile in his tone, since it was only an audio line. "Calm down, Cait. Where are you all? The Icicle Inn? I think I'm safe enough in Midgar, don't you?"
"Not from Barrett," Cait replied, worried. "He thinks you'll hurt Marlene. He said he'd rip my arms off if he thought that would help. I don't want him to rip my arms off!"
"And that's why we still have Marlene," Reeve sighed. "For leverage."
