Rufus watched the little cat walk on its back paws as it carefully gathered up Reeve's teacup and saucer in its front paws - hands? - and carried them over to the brewer. "...Sometimes, Reeve, your imagination is beyond deciphering.
Reeve smiled as the cat - manipulating the cup with all the delicacy it deserved - poured tea and delivered it back to him. Its tail waved quickly to maintain its balance on its proportionally tiny back paws. "Be honest," he said gently. "When - before now - have you had cause to smile?"
"But that accent is just horrible."
